The Rhodes Stitch is a textured stitch that can be worked individually, in groups or in rows.
While the basic Rhodes Stitch is square, it can also be worked in different variations including the Rhodes Heart, Rhodes Diamond, Rhodes Octagonal, Rhodes Circle, Rhodes Sheaf, Rhodes Clover or Shamrock and the Rhodes Star.
All variations of the Rhodes Stitch are worked in the same manner, stitching long spokes around a central point.
The Round Rhodes version, shown in step 6 of this article, was used in the Leaf Quartet Needlepoint Pattern in the white circles separating the leaf sections.
