Keep notes while stitching the sample, and add these notes to the section provided in the upper and lower sections of the journal page. See the example in Step 1 for common types of notes that can be jotted down in the lower section.

Be sure to include the date the sample was stitched, and note the type of canvas and threads used in the spaces provided.

Once you have stitch your sample or samples, glue them to the area provided on the right-hand side of the journal page. Then, hole-punch the page and store your journal pages in a binder.
