The Leaf Stitch is a realistic-looking decorative stitch used to stitch leaves or leaf-like shapes on a canvas.
The stitch is worked diagonnaly in Satin Stitch on the canvas, using long stitches in varying sizes. Each side of the leaf is stitched separately in opposite directions.
By experimenting a bit, you can create leaves in varying shapes and sizes to suit your needs.
