Flying Geese Stotcking in Two Colorways

Janet Perry

The quick-to-stitch Bargello-style ornament is based on the popular quilt block, Flying Geese, and has been provided by Janet Perry of Napa Needlepoint. It is worked using only two stitches, Straight Milanese and Horizontal Gobelin. It can be varied in many ways, including using just Long Stitch. It is stitched on 18 count mono canvas.

Two different photos of models have been provided. One model uses Very Velvet and Water n'Ice for a design that emphasizes the pattern. The other model uses Tahiti Watercolours and perle cotton for a design that emphasizes color. Or you could combine the two using a solid for the stripes and an overdye for the triangular "geese."
