The motif should have the leaf repeated 6-8 times for a standard napkin ring, depending on your canvas size.
You can finish the napkin ring by stitching the short ends with a 1/2" seam allowance and turning the raw edges to the insides of the napkin ring and gluing a length of ribbon around the inside of the ring to rprevent snagging, or overcast the edges if using plastic canvas.
