Stitch an Egyptian-inspired desert scarab in earthy, golden tones

You can even add gold metallic beads to give the project a dazzling, luminous effect.

This pattern can be worked in tapestry wool on 14-count canvas. For best results, work the scarab area in continental stitch. The background can be worked in textured stitches such as the Tressed stitch, Diagonal Hexagonal stitch, or the the Milanese stitch.

Finished Size: Approximately 7 x 9.5 inches

Mesh Size: Zweigart 14-count mono or interlock canvas

Size of Canvas Needed: 12x14 inches

DMC Tapestry Wool: off-white, light gray, dark slate gray, medium brown, dark brown, golden ochre, light rust, medium red rust and deep red.
