We'll start by working the first 3 groups. Load your needle with Thread E and anchor your thread in the back side of the yellow continental stitch coins. Bring your needle up at location 1, two holes under the lower left coin area. Insert your needle into the canvas at location 2, two holes to the lower right coin area.
Continue working, following the illustration, to make 12 stitches. This is the first group of stitches in a Jessica.
The second group of stitches in the Jessica is worked identically to the first group, starting at the lower right side and working towards the top of the coin. This second group is shown in bright yellow for clarity in the above illustration.
The third group of stitches is worked the same way, working from the top to the left side of the Jessica. This group is shown in orange, and you can now see that your circle is starting to take shape.
When you need to stop or start a length of thread, be sure to anchor it in the continental stitch area.
