Work the design area of the canvas, and the turquoise background area in tent stitch.
To give the lattice a 3-dimensional effect and make it come forward on the canvas, as if looking through a lattice window, work the centers of the lattice intersections in a Smyrna Cross stitch.
The diagonal bands coming off the intersections can be worked by alternating one tent stitch over one intersection and one tent stitch over two intersections on the diagonal.
Fill the inside areas of the lattice with tent stitch.
