Abstract Circles Full-Color Needlepoint Pattern

This fun, quick project allows you to learn to blend floss to create secondary colors are you stitch. The blended colors are used in the areas where two circles overlap in the pattern.

Only stranded types of threads can be used in this project, as you must be able to separate the strands and blend two colors together. Six-strand cotton embroidery floss or rayon satin floss are perfect choices.

Materials Needed:

Zweigart 12 or 13-count Mono Canvas or Interlock Canvas, 10x10 inches.

DMC Six-Strand Cotton Floss or DMC Rayon Satin Floss, 961 dark pink, 963 Medium Pink, 703 medium green, 472 yellow-green, B5200 white, 3047 light tan and 3046 medium tan.

The piece is worked entirely in Continental Stitch using all 6 strands of floss in the needle. The blending is detailed on the next page.
