Pumpkin Needlepoint Petite Four Pattern - Instructions

Miniature Needlepoint Petite Four

Here's a sister project to the Birthday Balloons, Hannukah Dreidel, Christmas Tree and Easter Egg Needlepoint Petite Fours! This miniature project is quick to stitch using the full-color chart and was inspired by the work of talented needlepoint artist Melissa Shirley. It can also be worked in cross stitch.

Finished Size: Approximately 1 inch x 3/4 x 1.5 inches
Canvas Size: 8" x 7" piece of 18 holes-per-inch canvas
Threads Needed: #5 Pearl Cotton in 2 shades each of brown and orange, and one shade each of yellow, black, white and green

Using Pearl Cotton instead of yarn gives the illusion that the project is beaded rather than stitched due to the sheen. You can easily substitute single plies of Persian wool in this project if you prefer.

The full-color chart for working the design can be found on the next page.
