11. Americana Heart
Stitch an Americana-inspired heart in patriotic colors for the 4th of July. It's a pretty decor addition for a country-style room, or for use during the 4th of July.

Stitch a Fantasy Fish swimming in a seaweed sea using bright shades of yarn. It's stitched on 10 Holes-per-inch canvas using worsted wool and is a perfect beginner project. Because this project is worked on canvas with large holes, you can use worsted weight yarn left over from other projects - which also makes this a very economical project.

14. Ice Creams Pillow Front
Stitch a colorful batch of ice creams on a stick that look almost good enought to eat. This project is perfect for a beginner and is best stitched using the continental stitch. Fourteen colorful shades of tapestry wool are needed for this chart.
15. Sea Snail
Stitch a pretty Sea Snail using natural-colored shades of tapestry wool for a unique summer accent. It can easily be made into a pillow for the veranda, or used as an applique on a beach tote. This pattern is best worked in continental stitch with the background in a textured stitch such as Nobuko stitch or the Rice Stitch.

This is a pretty project worked using only the continental stitch. The chart is worked in quadrants, making it an ideal project for a beginner to learn how to follow a charted design.
17. Tall Ships Pattern
Stitch a schooner design worked in just 6 colors of wool. Stitch the border and ship areas in continental stitch and the background area in basketweave stitch. A straight stitch accent is stitched at the bow of the ship, on the surface of the finished needlepoint design.
18. Wayward Winds
The Wayward Winds pattern can be stitched in any combination of colors in smaller quantities, making it a perfect scrap-basket project. The pattern can be stitched on any type of needlepoint canvas in threads from your stash of scraps. Use #5 Pearl cotton or lengths of 6-strand floss on canvas with small holes, and tapestry wool or #3 Pearl Cotton for canvas with larger holes.
