The Rose Romance free needlepoint pattern was designed to introduce you to the Long Stitch, an easy needlepoint stitch that produces results quickly.
The pattern produces an oblong, rather than a square. The repeating motif makes it easy to stitch an even larger version with dozens of roses.
Long Stitch is often worked on Penelope Canvas due to the 2-thread canvas being better able to support an individual stitch crossing just one thread group on the canvas.
