The body of the apple and background areas are large enough to try a textured or fancy needlepoint stitch, such as the Milanese Stitch, the Cashmere Stitch, the Byzantine Stitch, the Diagonal Mosaic Stitch, or the Rice Stitch .
The Scotch Checkerboard Stitch or Framed Scotch Stitch would look terrific used in the tan background!
The entire design is worked in 12 colors of Pearl Cotton on Mono Canvas, and is approximately 10 x 8 inches in size.
Materials Needed:
Zweigart 12 or 13-count Mono Canvas or Interlock Canvas, 14x12 inches.
DMC #5 Pearl Cotton in dark red, medium red, light red, dark teal, light teal, medium green, dark green, tan, medium brown, dark brown, black and white.
