I love anything with leaves as the subject - maybe it's because of my last name...
Another reason I love the Fall is for the colors - bright, beautiful earthy shades of yellow, gold, orange and red. This makes Autumn the perfect time of year to stitch a scrap-buster!
Here's a pretty, scrappy pattern that can be stitched using leftover yarn from your scrap basket - or using the 9 colors shown on the chart.
The leaf segments are also large enough to experiment with textured needlepoint stitches - or use a basic tent stitch.
In the example above, I am showing the design stitched on a dark background, but have kept the background on the pattern (next page) lighter to make it easier for you to follow.
