Fourteen (14) colors of thread are used in the project. However, the background shown in two colors can be worked in just a single color (see the next page for stitch suggestions).
Have some fun with your thread collection when stitching this project - use sppecialty threads or a glossy thread like rayon for the syrup and butter, and matte threads for the waffle for a realistic appearance!
The pattern is 70 stitches x 70 stitches, so the finished design would measure about 6 inches on 12-mesh canvas, 5 inches on 14 meash, 4 inches on 18 count, or just over 3 inches on 22 mesh canvas. Select your canvas based on the desired finished size and the types of threads you intend to use.
