Cashmere stitches are similar to the mosaic stitch- 4 stitch units create a rectangular block on the canvas. These stitches are great for background work and can be done horizontally or diagonally.

"When making a knot in the end of your stitching thread, make a "slip" knot. When removing the knot, grab the tail. This gives you more thread to place in the needle when ending off.
