Cinco de Mayo Stitching

From Cheryl Fall, About.com GuideApril 26, 2010

Cinco de Mayo is just around the corner, yet there's still time to stitch something inspired by the colors of Mexico.

Cinco de Mayo commemorates the Mexican army's victory over the French at the Battle of Puebla, which took place on May 5, 1862. It is not is a national holiday celebrated throughout Mexico, but has become quite popular here in the United States as a way to celebrate the culture and food of Mexico.

The Mexican Folk Art Animal pattern is small enough that it can be completed in a weekend, giving you plenty of time to plan a Cinco de Mayo feast for family and friends.
