We can all use a little last-minute inspiration for handmade gifts. The inspiration for this project came from a grove of trees outside of Spokane, Washington.
It's quick-to-stitch as well - I whipped up this Ponderosa Pines canvas in less than a day. I'm either going to turn it into a tote bag pocket, or use it as a pillow applique and gift it to mom.
There are less than 10 days remaining to finish projects to be given as gifts - time to git 'er done!

I like this. My first thought was “oh, a quilt square pattern.” I love the symmetry and colors. If someone had the time and imagination, they could use other stitches to jazz it up even more. Very nicely done.
