Stitch a Kippah

By November 10, 2009

Hanukkah is just around the corner!

There's still time to stitch an extra-special gift by making the Magen David needlepoint kippah.

The kippah is stitched in #5 perle cotton on 20-count cotton canvas, is comprised of over 10,000 individual stitches and is sturdy enough to be used unlined.

Do you have any suggestions for sites for tallit bags ? I will be helping a friend who prefers stamped cross stitch but I have convinced her that she can do needlepoint. we both feel she should do one that has the design on the front only. It is for her adult son.
Thanks,
Alma

The following sites have some very nice hand-painted canvasses for tallit bags:

Fireside Stitchery, Magic Needle,
Hebrew Art

The canvas are normally just for the bag fronts. You can use a nice fabric of your choice for the backing and lining.
