I’m often asked, “What do you do with all those pillows you stitch.”
My reply is, “Pillows? There’s more to needlepoint than pillows.”
While pillows, chair seats and piano bench covers come to mind for many, there are so many other ways to use needlepoint. The possibilities are endless!
Some traditional uses also include small area rugs, clothing including vest fronts and shoes or slippers, wall hangings and fireplace screens. Needlepoint can also be used for small cases for eyeglasses and cosmetics, pictures, pin cushions, handbags and purses, paper weights, bookmarks, book covers, hair accessories, jewelry, keepsakes, holiday ornaments and stockings, tablemats, napkin rings, sewing kits, key fobs, decorative boxes, picture frames, and more.
Do you have an unusual or creative use for needlepoint? Tell us about it by filling out the Needlepoint Submission Form or send us a photo. We’d love to hear about your creative uses for needlepoint.
