When Did You Learn Needlepoint?
I love to hear the details of how folks learned to stitch. In a recent newsletter, I asked for people to send me their stories- here's one I thought I would share:
"I was 6 yo when my granny taught me backstitch point. A little dog, with a ball, that was my favourite blouse (no T-shirts those days), from that day, I embroidered with many thread (no yarn) colors. Everything I made, my mom showed so proud, now you can watch at the gallery some of my work!! It is a nice skill I discovered I have. I highly recommend to teach your kids simple things, as a greeting card, for Mom or Dad (so it stay at home), and show off. "- Ruth
I would love to hear your story too! Email me with the details.
